NETWORK AID PROJECT COORDINATOR SELECTED FOR THE 2ND COHORT OF HER CYCLE LEADERSHIP AND MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Introduction.

Abigail Conteh- Project Coordinator Network AID is selected for the 2ns Cohort of Her Cycle Leadership and Mentorship Program organise by Girls Advocacy Development Network (GADNET). Her Cycle Leadership and Mentorship is a Mentorship Program that focused on nurturing the potential of young girls, with the objective of instilling and developing essential leadership skills, for a period of six months.

      OVERVIEW OF THE ORIENTATION

February 3rd, 2024 at  GADNETt Office a 3 hours long orientation for twenty (20) girls mentees was held. Self introduction, presentations on the insight, goals, importance, attribute, need, expectation and duration of the 2nd cohort was done the Executive Director-GADNET. Emphasising the pivotal role mentors played in nurturing effective leadership skills of mentees.

EXPECTATIONS AND OUTCOME

Testimonies from past mentees were articulated, vividly recounting success stories and lesson learnt . The program organizers comprehensively illustrated the benchmark and outcomes all mentee ought to strive for.

Conclusively, the leadership and mentorship program's orientation left a strong and lasting impression on me regarding the importance of mentorship, leadership, and open communication. The platform provided an encouraging space for me and follow mentees, ultimately fostering personal and leadership enhancement. Being a Project Coordinator that supervises others it is imperative that i gain more knowledge to enhance the work i do.
